Chitr-i Chitr is an India-based movie that has gained fame, especially online. It is a revenge saga featuring the protagonist Ajay Singh Rana, also known as "Champ". Champ avenges his father's murder by killing all those responsible one by one after they torture him for thirteen years in solitary confinement. The film has some suspenseful moments which are tinged with humour. The concept of Chitr-i Chitr is unique among Indian films and it often divided critics and audiences alike. The film has no main antagonist and the main focus of the film is to bring down 'Bhishma' - a criminal who killed Champ's father and forced him to live in solitary confinement for thirteen years. The film explores the question: what would you do if you knew that for 13 years your rights to freedom were taken away, and you had no solution? The film's title "Chitr-i Chitr" comes from a case in which an elephant broke free from its chain after someone whispered in its ear (respectively, whispered good things). The film received mixed reviews from critics; it holds a 39% rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 12 reviews. The music is composed by Pritam and the lyrics are penned by Shabbir Ahmed, Majid Khan and Amitabh Bhattacharya.
